Connecting your HM-6 to your WiFi router (Android app)¶
Use the Solutionbee B-Ware apps to setup your HM-6 to connect to your WiFi router. Included in this operation is the setup of the upload schedule, i.e. how often you want your data uploaded to the cloud.
Note: Now boththe iPhone (8 or newer) and the Android canread and configure the HM-6. The iPhone is somewhat preferable because there are some Android models that do not have NFC, which is a requirement for communicating with the HM-6. All iPhone models support NFC.
Here are the individual steps:
-
Select the B-Ware app and start it.
-
Navigate to the Monitor List.
-
If your HM-6 is not showing on the list, simply touch the HM-6 module with the phone so that the NFC activates and your HM-6 is placed on the list.
-
Tap on your HM-6 on the list which opens a menu of options.
-
Select the "Configure Device" option.
-
Touch the electronic module with the phone to activate the option.
-
The Bluetooth light in the app will blink. To find a list of available routers nearby tap on the green button.
-
Select the router you would like your HM-6 to be connected to.
-
Enter the router password.
-
Wait for the router and HM-6 to show "Connected" status.
-
Advance to the Upload Schedule tab.
-
Tap on the hours you would like the upload(s) to occur. When finished tap on the Large Blue button to store that schedule in your HM-6.
Note: The hours selected are Standard Hours, not Daylight Savings hours. For example, if your region is under Daylight Savings when you are configuring your HM-6 and you want an upload at 9pm (Daylight Savings Time), select 8pm on the app.
Note: Pressing the Small Blue button retrieves the currently stored upload schedule. The button isn't used much since normally when entering this option the currently store upload schedule is already displayed.
-
To finish, just use the Android Back key (usually a left oriented triangle) to return to the Monitor List.
-
If correctly configured, your HM-6 will now continuously upload its data to the cloud according to the Upload Schedule you specified. Check the web app (go to www.solutionbee.com, then My Solutionbee) to view your data!
